Although the girl admittedly fit on small ponies better than 13.1 Clara, the two worked well together. The mare's more than a little touchy about everything, and she doesn't tolerate less than perfect. She taught Rhia everything there is to know about riding properly, since the mare to this day refuses to jump if her rider is even a little ahead or behind the motion. While she started off life in the hunter ring, Clara's true calling is in equitation. She's not as flashy as she needs to be for hunters, and she much prefers the complicated courses. Rhia still shows her in the mediums sometimes, but it's more of a warm-up for the Pony Medal than anything else. Rhia really loves the few times she's had to switch ponies in medal classes. It doesn't happen very often, but it's always a ball to watch other riders try to figure Clara out before they fall off. mikey is a lady killer?! of caution 2.0 |
