Yeah, right. Rhia's pretty sure Morrie's the only one she's ever seen, and there's a reason for that. Arabs are just generally not very stylish jumpers, and Morrie is no exception. That's why he's a jumper, not a hunter. While his style is strange on a good day, Morrie is fast and gets himself over everything in front of him. Actually, fast is an understatement. When Morrie gets in the mood (whenever he sees a jump, really) he moves. It takes a bit of getting used to, since Morrie generally just gallops around the course and throws himself over fences any old way he can. It's less a matter of seeing distances and more a matter of hanging on for dear life. Morrie started off life as an accident. An oops baby who sat in the pasture for the first three years of his life. Once he stopped growing (at a convenient 14.1 hands even), his owners started him under saddle so he could get out of their hair as soon as possible. Instead of normal bucking or rearing, Morrie jumped out of the arena with his rider and went on a sort of joyride around the farm. It was uphill from there; potential realized, Morrie was trained to jump and sold when he was six to Rhia's trainer. The girl took an immediate liking to him, and they've been together ever since. mikey is a lady killer?! of caution 2.0 |
